Description
The AutoCAD software file format has always fully supported 3D geometry, but it was not until AutoCAD 2007 software, with the introduction of visual styles and commands such as PressPull, that AutoCAD software began to fully capitalize on the power of 3D. In this class we will look at the set of AutoCAD software commands that are well suited to modeling 3D geometry and that will translate well into the STL file format most commonly used by 3D printers regardless of the specific technology employed. Along the way we will discuss effective practices that will help you to produce a successful 3D print.
Key Learnings
- Learn about the fundamentals of 3D printing
- Learn how to create 3D geometry that is suitable for 3D printing
- Learn how to clean and validate a 3D model
